Smart.fm home page update

I recently had a chance to meet with Russ, Kirk and Dominiek from Cerego to talk about smart.fm. They were all very busy and only had a short time to chat but I came away with lots of ideas. So I sent these ideas to them a few days later.
They liked what I suggested and Russ has written up details of the new user home page and how my ideas were used. That puts a big smile on my face and I hope other community members continue to help by sending in their ideas.
Although the initial launch was a little shaky, smart.fm is now stable and gradually maturing into a great community and set of tools.

Great job!
Unfortunately, I've fallen out of love with Smart.fm. But, then again, I think it's a good choice for certain learner-types, and especially good for lower-level students.
I'm experimenting with a new compilation of study methods. (which I talk about every now and then on victorymanual.com)

Cheers. I used it for the Kana and it was great, but I've not used it since. I'm going to start putting some vocab lists on there soon and I think the RTK lists might be useful.
Always enjoy reading your articles btw.

I've just started to spend more time on smart.fm, and have just put my first list up. I like how you're able to embed video and text with the list, and think the auto completion for list items is really clever.
Glad to see you back in the swing of things Chris.

I tried using iKnow, but I found that it was very difficult for me to learn and retain words when I didn't yet know the kanji from which they were constructed. I suspect I will probably give it another go after I've got a few hundred more kanji under my belt.
