Learn Japanese everywhere, even on the toilet

Yesterday I thought wouldn't it be cool if the free tissues handed out in Japan had kanji printed on them. That would be an interesting way for me to learn Japanese. I then thought it would be even more useful to have Japanese printed on toilet paper too. We spend a portion of our lives sitting on a toilet, so why not make use of that time.

Well after a bit of searching I managed to find toilet paper with Japanese written on it thanks to the team at J-List.

This is "Unchi ga Yokuderu Toilet Paper - Helps you Poop".

This cool roll of toilet paper is a unique book of knowledge at your fingertips in one of the most unique places you can put it -- your bathroom. Enjoy looking over the great hints, tips, and general miscellaneous knowledge on a roll of TP, as you relax in the "private library." Pictures, Japanese text and a smattering of funny English mix to give you messages like "Drink something cold soon after waking in the morning." Great for encouraging excrement on the toilet. Also learn the names of Japanese items and food via pictures with vocabulary underneath them. Great fun, and a wacky gift for anyone who is constipated.

Next up is "Kanji Quiz Toilet Paper".

This is an extremely extraordinary item, toilet paper with the power to teach! For those who prefer to "sit in the library" this great paper can provide... hours (?) of fun and prepare them for that pop quiz in Japanese class the next morning. Three different methods of learning are provided "multiple choice", "reading", and "philosophical fill-in-the-blank". Written in a soft blue color on white. A superb item for anyone interested in studying Japanese, it's really cool on many different levels.

Finally for a bit more fun there's "Fortune Telling Tissue".

For those who need a little advice, here's an absolutely wacky item produced by the JiG company. This oddball of a find features tissue that actually has fortunes printed in full kanji on it. Comes to you in a six sided wood print case that you can easily pop open to pull out the tissue....

Combine these with sticking a Kanji Wall Poster in your bathroom and you're pretty much covered when it comes to being immersed in Japanese whilst on the toilet!

The more I think about it, the less I'm sure I could actually use these, because of erm... losing all that info! :D It would be fun to unroll and reroll them though!

I was wondering what to use to write on the “Kanji Quiz Toilet Paper“... I certainly don't keep a spare pen on my toilet seat ^^

The day I feel like I need to read Japanese on my toilet seat may be pretty close though =)
